ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Global Head of Data Technology reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will lead the strategic vision, architecture, and execution of our enterprise data platforms and pipelines. You’ll oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data infrastructure, enabling real-time analytics, advanced reporting, AI/ML models, and operational decision-making across the organization. This is a pivotal leadership role working at the intersection of engineering, data science, product, and compliance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Define and lead the global data engineering strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across our data ecosystem.

• Build and manage high-performing global teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

• Architect and implement modern data infrastructure, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time processing pipelines .

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Business teams to support data-driven decision-making and product innovation.

• Ensure robust data governance and security practices, supporting compliance with financial regulations.

• Lead the adoption of cloud-first strategies, enabling efficient, cost-effective, and future-ready infrastructure.

• Evaluate and integrate emerging data technologies to enhance data capabilities and stay ahead of industry trends.

PRIMARY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, GCP Professional Data Engineer) preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role in data-intensive organizations (ideally in fintech, SaaS, or large-scale enterprise tech).

• Expertise in modern data architecture, including distributed systems, ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and big data tools.

• Proven ability to scale data infrastructure globally, supporting complex analytics, regulatory reporting, and AI/ML needs.

• Experience designing data platforms in the Capital Markets or Asset Management industry will be huge plus.

• Specific industry experience in Prime Brokerage, Risk Management, Hedge Funds, Fund Administration will be an asset.

• Strong leadership and team-building experience, with a track record of mentoring and retaining top engineering talent.

• Deep understanding of data security, governance, and regulatory compliance in financial environments.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and articulate complex technical topics to business leaders.
