Ritchie Bros. is seeking a Financial Accountant to perform general accounting tasks tied to period end closing, SOX/audit support, and related financial operations. You will collaborate with the Finance team to optimize close processes and ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires 3-5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid bookkeeping background. Knowledge of Oracle is an asset. This on-site position supports ongoing financial governance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping competencies.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle general accounting tasks related to period end closing and close process.
• Support SOX / financial statement audit processes and compliance.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly working papers for inventory and contracts.
• Produce variance analysis for P&L and balance sheet.
• Maintain understanding of business obligations and resolve issues.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and statutory reports.
• Participate in special accounting projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed.
