Role Overview

The Director, Global Credit Risk Officer Program Lead reports to the Head of Enterprise Risk Programs Review and Global Credit Risk Officer Program. This role is responsible for executing all components of the Global Credit Risk Officer framework, which is fundamental to Citi's credit decision-making process. The program governs the journey of Credit Officers, from training and qualification to achieving SCO Level 1 Designation, the highest credit approval level at Citi. The Lead will collaborate extensively with senior management across Citi's businesses, Independent Risk Management, Compliance, and Learning & Development to uphold and enhance governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead strategy, enhancement, and oversight of Citi's Credit Risk Officer programs, ensuring alignment with safety, soundness, and industry best practices.
  2. Manage and improve governance related to the Citi-wide Credit Risk Officer framework, including policies and procedures.
  3. Oversee the end-to-end process to ensure consistent application from CO prerequisites to SCO designation and beyond.
  4. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive governance and consistency.
  5. Lead initiatives related to Wholesale Credit Risk Remediation, Regulatory compliance, and other regulatory initiatives concerning the credit risk officer framework.
  6. Manage the GCROP Team to ensure successful execution of its mandates.
  7. Research, draft materials, and prepare presentations for senior management, regulators, and the Board on various topics.
Skills and Competencies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to drive change while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven leadership in program management teams.
Knowledge and Experience
  • At least 15 years of experience in Banking, Finance, or related fields, with expertise in risk and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk.
  • Familiarity with Citi's organization and systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
