Job summary

Trimble Applanix is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage essential financial processes, support month-end close, and ensure cross-functional compliance in a high-energy, collaborative environment in Richmond Hill, Ontario (onsite).

You will work with Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, general ledger, and tax reporting, applying strong Excel skills and attention to detail while collaborating across teams to enable accurate financial data and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process customer invoices and credit memos accurately and on a timely basis.
• Prepare monthly sales tax reports for US and Canada.
• Maintain fixed asset sub-ledgers and record depreciation.
• Post month-end journal entries including FX gains/losses and accruals.
• Reconcile general ledger and fixed asset sub-ledgers at month-end.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable activities.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses as required.
