• Collaborate with glaziers, foremen, contractors, and other trades.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with safety regulations.

Job description

The Glazier / Installer is responsible for assisting with and completing commercial glass and glazing installations, working closely with experienced glaziers, foremen, project managers, and site teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and assist with the installation of commercial glass and glazing systems
• Install storefronts, aluminum framing, entrances, and related components
• Measure, fit, and prepare glass and materials for installation
• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment
• Prepare surfaces for installation, including cleaning, sealing, and alignment
• Read and follow drawings, measurements, and installation instructions
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment
• Collaborate with glaziers, foremen, contractors, and other trades
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications

• Previous glazing, construction, carpentry, or installation experience preferred
• Experience working with glass or aluminum systems considered an asset
• Ability to read measurements, drawings, and installation instructions
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to project sites as required

Details

• Salary Range: $27.00–$35.00 per hour
• 4% vacation pay
• Full-time, Permanent
• Location: Prince Edward Island
• Travel to project sites may be required
