CBRE Group, Inc. in Toronto, Canada is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across a portfolio of national accounts and enterprise platforms.

This role owns the full month-end close cycle, including journal entry preparation and review, balance sheet reconciliation approvals, and direct financial analysis for leadership. The role leads monthly financial reviews, DR/IR analyses, and detailed P&L assessments across assigned clients and FMCs,

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review a broad range of month-end journal entries and accruals, including client-specific entries, allocations, reclassifications, funding transactions, and enterprise and platform-related accounting activities.
  • Ensure entries are completed accurately and on schedule to support timely financial reporting.
  • Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations across cash, receivable, payable, intercompany, accrual, and deferred revenue accounts.
  • Confirm that outstanding items are appropriately supported, investigated, and resolved as part of the close process.
  • Lead the monthly financial review process by preparing Management Business Review (MBR) presentations, completing variance analysis, and presenting financial results to leadership.
  • Conduct monthly Direct Reimbursement (DR) and Indirect Reimbursement (IR) analyses across assigned clients to confirm that revenue and cost recoveries are complete and accurate.
  • Perform detailed profit and loss reviews across all assigned clients and Platform Enterprise Financial Management Centers (FMCs) to identify variances, validate results, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support budgeting and financial planning activities for Non-Client, Country Operations, and Shared Office functions, including budget tracking, GL reporting, annual budget preparation, headcount allocation, and financial reporting support.
  • Review and approve operational financial transactions, including expense reports, accounts payable invoice submissions, and bank wire transactions.
  • Manage banking and cash-related activities, including statement distribution, unapplied cash oversight and coordination with shared services teams on close-related deliverables.

About the Role

The manager operates as the primary financial point of contact for assigned clients and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do
Month-End Close and Journal Entries
  • Prepare and review a broad range of month-end journal entries and accruals, including client-specific entries, allocations, reclassifications, funding transactions, and enterprise and platform-related accounting activities.
  • Ensure entries are completed accurately and on schedule to support timely financial reporting.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations across cash, receivable, payable, intercompany, accrual, and deferred revenue accounts.
  • Confirm that outstanding items are appropriately supported, investigated, and resolved as part of the close process.
Financial Analysis and Management Reporting
