Job summary

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) Information Technology department invites qualified applicants for the Computer Systems Technician - GIS. Reporting to the GIS Supervisor, you will support the administration and development of the RMOW’s GIS program and enterprise environment.

Candidates should have a degree or diploma in GIS or related field and at least two years' experience; strong ArcGIS skills and experience with ArcGIS Enterprise/Online/Pro, FME and Python are desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, CS or related field.
• Minimum two years in a similar GIS role; municipal experience preferred.
• Strong GIS principles; experience with Esri software and geodatabases.

Responsibilities

• Support administration and development of RMOW GIS program and enterprise environment.
• Analyze, manage and disseminate spatial information across the organization.
• Support web/mobile GIS apps, automation, and integrations; assist field data collection.
