Job summary

Coeur Mining is seeking a Ground Engaging Tool Technician at the Rainy River mine in Ontario, Canada. You will maintain GETs, perform preventive maintenance, and replace worn components across the mine fleet, reporting to the Mine Maintenance Welding Supervisor.

The role requires the ability to work 12-hour day/night shifts on a 7/7 schedule, both independently and as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Physically fit with ability to work outdoors.
  • Good attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge and experience working on heavy equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Follow preventative and predictive maintenance programs through inspections and maintenance plans.
  • Provide input into planning for weekly and annual maintenance.
  • Monitor wear rates and component life on equipment.
  • Operate hydraulic tools, service cranes, jacks, air tools and miscellaneous hand tools.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure that all breakdowns are attended to effectively as possible.
  • Provide input into the development and updating of preventative maintenance systems, spare parts programs, maintenance practices and infrastructure issues.
  • Organize and maintain spare inventory GET parts.
  • Other general maintenance activities to achieve high availability and productivity of mine equipment as well as mine buildings and infrastructure.
  • Maintain specific GET truck and report all deficiencies
  • Ensure work order discipline within SAP.

Rainy River

Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site. The Rainy River mine, located adjacent to the Ontario/Minnesota border is 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. About The Role

Position: GET (Ground Engaging Tool) Technician

Position Overview

Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Welding Supervisor, The role of the Ground Engaging Tool Technician (G.E.T Tech) is to maintain the mine fleet Ground Engaging Tools, conduct preventative maintenance inspections and change out required components on mine equipment.

The anticipated salary for this position will be between $80-85,000
