Job summary

Coeur Mining is seeking a Geological Technician (Underground) at the Rainy River site in Ontario, Canada. The role supports the Geology team with sampling, preparation work, diamond drilling support, and other geology tasks, with on-the-job training provided.

Preference given to local residents; travel and accommodations are not provided. The job offers a day-shift rotation in indoor/outdoor environments and a strong safety culture with comprehensive benefits.

Rainy River

Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River mine, located adjacent to the Ontario/Minnesota border is 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.

Applicants who reside in Northwestern Ontario and have experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Northwest Ontario, are assets. Position Reports To: Senior U/G Geologist

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and hard-working individual to join our team as a Geological Technician in a full-time capacity. The Geological Technician will support the Geology team with a variety of tasks, including sampling, preparation work, diamond drilling support, and other geology-related activities. All work must be completed in accordance with company policies and procedures, including cultural, safety, and environmental requirements.

No prior experience is required, as the successful applicant will receive on-the-job training to develop the skills and knowledge required for the role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attendance, a positive attitude, a commitment to working safely, and a willingness to learn.

Preference will be given to local residents of the Rainy River District. Please note that travel and accommodations are not provided for this role.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position will be between $65,000.00 to $75,000.00
