Job summary

Extendicare is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess function and develop treatment plans for residents, focusing on self-care, productivity, and leisure within our long-term care setting in Ontario.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, ensure ethical practice, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement in resident care and outcomes. This full-time role offers growth opportunities and a supportive environment focused on quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• OT registered with provincial regulatory board and CAOT.
• Bachelor level degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality OT in resident care.
• Assess Residents on admission and ongoing; develop treatment plans.
• Plan and communicate treatment goals with the care team.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans; ensure safety and ethics.
• Document progress and participate in care conferences.
• Maintain compliance with ethics and regulatory standards.
