Job summary

Chartwell Vista Retirement Community is seeking a Registered Dietitian to plan, coordinate, and evaluate the nutritional care of our residents in line with Program Standards. You will conduct initial and quarterly nutritional assessments, monitor texture-modified diets and supplements, and work with the inter-disciplinary team to tailor care plans and menus.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the nutrition and wound care teams, strong communication, and leadership to ensure optimal resident

Qualifications

• Must hold Registered Dietitian certification with current provincial registration.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably with geriatric residents.
• Knowledge of Canadian dietary guidelines and nutrient requirements for older adults.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial nutritional assessments and identify risk levels with interventions.
• Perform quarterly resident Nutritional Assessments and document follow-ups.
• Monitor textures, modifications and supplements; adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop nutrition care plans.
• Collaborate with wound care team and liaise with kitchen regarding menus.
