Stantec is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join our Edmonton team and help deliver impactful projects in the community.

You will work with a local team of geotechnical professionals, contribute to innovative solutions using cutting-edge tools, manage small to mid-sized projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with a global multidisciplinary team to advance engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver small to mid-sized geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, including planning, analysis, reporting and client communication.

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join our Edmonton team and help deliver impactful projects in our community.

The successful candidate will work closely with a local team of 30 geotechnical professionals based out of Edmonton, supported by a wider, regional team of over 200 geotechnical professionals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological or Mining Engineering, or Geology.

• 5–10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related services.

• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA or eligible for registration transfer from another province.

• Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to a vehicle.

• Ability to live and work in Canada.

• Residing in Edmonton Alberta, or willing to relocate.

Typical office environment includes working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
