Job summary

Stantec in Edmonton is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join our collaborative team and help deliver geotechnical projects across office, field, and lab environments.

Lead small to mid-sized projects from proposal through completion, mentor junior staff, build client relationships, and apply innovative approaches to analysis, reporting, and design. Must have 5–10 years of experience and be eligible for P.Eng. registration in Alberta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological or Mining Engineering, or Geology.
• 5-10 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• P.Eng. with APEGA or eligible for transfer from another province.
• Valid Canadian driver's license and ability to work in Canada.
• Residence in Edmonton or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to mid-sized geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, including planning, analysis, reporting, and client communication.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership to the team.
• Build relationships with clients and deliver tailored geotechnical solutions.

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join our Edmonton team and help deliver impactful projects in our community.

The successful candidate will work closely with a local team of 30 geotechnical professionals based out of Edmonton, supported by a wider, regional team of over 200 geotechnical professionals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological or Mining Engineering, or Geology.
• 5-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related services.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA or eligible for registration transfer from another province.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
• Ability to live and work in Canada.
• Residing in Edmonton Alberta, or willing to relocate.

Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
