Stantec seeks an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer specializing in cold regions and permafrost to join our collaborative team on dam, reservoir, and hydropower projects across Canada and beyond.

You will design, analyze, and coordinate multidisciplinary projects while mentoring staff and driving innovation. The role emphasizes technical excellence, safety, and proactive problem solving within a flexible hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geological, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Master’s or PhD is considered an asset.
• Experience with cold regions and permafrost geotechnical design is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, analysis, and construction of infrastructure projects with a focus on cold regions and permafrost in Canada.
• Carry out complex analyses using state-of-the-practice software.
• Manage geotechnical-focused and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentor colleagues and foster a culture of technical excellence and learning.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and build client relationships.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and market expansion initiatives.
• Lead or contribute to digitization, numerical modeling, climate adaptation, and risk reduction efforts.
