Calgary/Edmonton, AB. Pinchin’s Geotechnical Practice across Canada is quickly growing. We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in our Calgary/Edmonton location(s).
A Day in the Life of a Geotechnical Engineer at Pinchin:
- You will work with a team of engineers and technicians to deliver all types of geotechnical projects.
- You will be responsible for the delivery of small to medium sized projects and assist in the delivery of large projects.
- Manage geotechnical investigations including field coordination, subcontractors, budget and schedule.
- Engineering design and assessment to various geotechnical systems including foundation design, slope stability, settlement analysis, etc.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals.
- Prepare geotechnical reports and memorandums.
- Assist with Client Management and Business Development.
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team:
- University degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Intermediate level experience in geotechnical engineering with project management experience.
- Professional Member (P.Eng.) or the ability to be licensed with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
- Able to work closely with our project teams across the company where geotechnical support may be of assistance, such as Environmental Due Diligence, Remediation and Building Sciences.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to communicate effectively and respond proactively to clients on time‑sensitive items.
- The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients and managers.
- Proven technical writing skills in the preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and letters for clients.
