Job summary

Stantec in Winnipeg is seeking a Geotechnical EIT or young professional to start a purpose-driven career. You’ll work with a local team of engineers and EITs, performing geotechnical analyses, site investigations, and reporting under guidance.

Your work will support community projects and local infrastructure. You’ll gain mentorship from senior engineers, engage in field and design work, and contribute to a diverse range of projects across the Winnipeg area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 0–4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related services; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Eligible to register as an Engineering-In-Training with EGM.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
• Ability to live and work in Canada; residing in Winnipeg.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical analyses and reporting under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Conduct geotechnical site investigations and construction field reviews.
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and assess impact of work.
• Collaborate with local and regional teams to develop cost estimates and proposals.
• Learn from mentors and contribute to project delivery.
