Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has an opening for an Entry Level Geotechnical EIT in Oakville, ON. You will join our geotechnical group within the Design Department and contribute to design-build projects across North America, learning from seasoned engineers while developing core field and analytical skills.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience in subsurface investigations, analysis, and reporting, with mentorship, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Geotechnical Engineering or closely related field.
• 0-3 years of post-graduate geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, groundwater hydrology, and geotechnical design.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide project support during proposal/bid phase with engineering analyses for geotechnical designs.
• Design of temporary structures in support of ongoing construction.
• Work on design-build and EPC projects, producing design deliverables.
• Perform subsurface investigations, field testing, and construction oversight.
• Produce engineering reports, drawings, and calculation packages.
