Job summary

AECOM in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Training to join a multidisciplinary team. This full-time role offers exposure to transportation, municipal, building, and environmental projects across Canada.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in engineering, are or will be registered as an EIT in Manitoba, and bring 2+ years of civil or geotechnical experience with strong communication and project management skills. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering.
  • Currently registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientist Manitoba as an EIT.
  • 2+ years of civil and/or geotechnical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide geotechnical project management and technical support for ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with Manitoba, Alberta, Ontario teams and across Canada on geotechnical services.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Prepare proposals for medium to high complexity geotechnical projects.
  • Carry out geotechnical analysis and design for transportation, municipal, building, environmental, and energy projects.
  • Oversee work by junior staff and EITs.
