Job summary

A leading environmental consultancy is hiring a Geospatial Technician to assist in collecting, processing, and analyzing geospatial and remote sensing data. The role requires operating drones to collect data in the field, supporting wind and solar projects, and working collaboratively with other geomatics staff. A mix of both office and fieldwork is required, making teamwork and effective communication essential. Candidates must be detail-oriented with a background in GIS and remote sensing technology.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a relevant field.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License or Canadian equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in drone-based data collection preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collects lidar and photogrammetric data utilizing drones.
• Processes and analyzes photogrammetric and lidar data.
• Operates company-aligned vehicle for site visits.
