Job summary

Sarliaq | Groupe Dion is seeking a Geology Laborer to support field operations at a remote mining site in Nunavut. You will lift and transport samples, process data, and collaborate with geological teams in challenging weather conditions.

This hands-on role requires 1–3 years of related experience, strong safety focus, and bilingual French/English. The work schedule is a 14 days on /14 days off rotation with an hourly rate.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Bilingual (French and English).

Responsibilities

• Lift and transport boxes containing samples or field equipment
• Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) to compile and analyze data
• Quickly learn and apply the company’s specific procedures
• Work in collaboration with technical specialists and geological teams
• Operate in challenging weather conditions, including cold temperatures
• Apply geological knowledge to support field operations
• Assist with other related tasks as needed
