Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a field Exploration Technician to support geologists in Nunavut. You will assist with drill site inspections, downhole surveying, core sampling and QA/QC, while maintaining the core shack and supporting camp operations.

Schedule involves 14 days on site in Nunavut with 14 days off, plus company-provided flights and on-site accommodations. English is the working language at Meadowbank/Meliadine operations.

Qualifications

• College diploma in mining technology or equivalent with relevant training.
• 3 years of experience in exploration or core shack.
• Methodological and rigorous approach.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with team to ensure smooth workflow.
• Participate in health and safety meetings and follow protocols at sites.
• Conduct drill site inspections and environmental and health & safety inspections.
• Assist in drill core reception, sampling, QA/QC and prepare core for geologists.
• Ensure core shack is organized and clean; support camp and equipment maintenance.
