Job summary

SGS is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Geochemistry) for a drive-in, drive-out assignment at the Côté Gold mine site near Gogama, ON. The role involves 12-hour day/night shifts, with shuttle transport from Sudbury or Timmins and 2 weeks on-site followed by 2 weeks at home.

You will perform SGS SOP-based testing, QA/QC checks, prepare samples, operate atomic absorption and other instruments, maintain records, and train new staff while ensuring safety and accuracy in a dynamic mineral laboratory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma/Associate in science preferred.
• 1-3+ years in industrial/lab settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing following SGS SOPs and work instructions.
• Log client samples, prepare labels, and maintain records.
• Operate atomic absorption and other instruments with QA/QC checks.
