Job Opportunity: Building Superintendent

Location: Saskatchewan (various locations)

Graham, in partnership with Allied Partner Technical Workforce Inc., is seeking a Building Superintendent to oversee projects across Saskatchewan, including notable projects like the North Battleford Hospital and the Chief Mistawasis Bridge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in preconstruction activities such as site logistics, project scheduling, design review, and budget development.
• Manage site staffing, quality control, sub-trade coordination, scheduling, cost control, and safety protocols.
• Determine construction methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedules.
• Coordinate work among various trades, departments, and subcontractors.
• Maintain communication with engineering, estimating, and planning teams to ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
• Monitor safety compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Hire, train, and oversee field personnel.
• Assist in project meetings and resolve claim issues and warranty concerns.
• Collaborate with project management to oversee project budgets, especially for self-performed work.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 15-20 years of construction experience, with at least 10-15 years in supervisory roles.
• Proficiency in structural concrete, steel, and timber frame construction.
• Experience managing multiple projects valued between $50M and $100M.
• Ability to lead mid-sized teams and understand the impact of change on cost and schedule.
• Knowledge of construction engineering, design, and management software.
