The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to drive performance. Travel to sites may be required, with emphasis on safety, QC, and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial cladding and architectural systems is required.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities are essential.
• Proven problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and maintain safety/compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and oversee daily activities of cladding crews across multiple sites.
• Ensure quality and safety for all cladding and architectural system work.
• Coordinate with Construction Manager on project startup lists and handovers.
• Monitor training, certifications, and crew performance; drive efficiency.
• Maintain QC paperwork and tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings and details to ensure accuracy and feasibility.

Our Edmonton Industrial team, is currently searching for a General Superintendent is a skilled role, in which the General Superintendent is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of multiple industrial cladding crews. The General Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring cladding and architectural systems are built with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost-effective manner. This position works closely with management in order to ensure that all of the necessary work gets done as safe and efficient as possible.

A Day In The Life

• Process field hours/ Payroll


• Assist Construction Manager with project start up list


• Monitor employees training and certification validation


• Drive crew performance and efficiency


• Maintain QC project paperwork throughout the project life cycle


• Ensure QC, safety and labour tracking paperwork is being completed by Foreman


• Review drawing / details


• Monitor toll and equipment inventory


• Orchestrate shipment of tools and equipment


• Attend on Site handovers / deficiency walks and testing


• Pick up/ deliver smaller items as required
