Job summary

Human Integrity HR partners with a well-established diagnostic imaging provider in Peterborough, seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform General and MSK ultrasound examinations. The role offers a diverse caseload, modern equipment, and a collaborative team focused on exceptional patient care.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, current CMRITO registration, 1–2 years of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Current registration and good standing with CMRITO.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of sonography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
  • Conduct General Ultrasound studies, including abdominal, pelvic, small parts, and related examinations.
  • Perform Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound examinations.
  • Produce diagnostic-quality images to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Review image quality and ensure studies meet clinical standards.
  • Prepare patients for examinations while providing exceptional patient care and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and clinic staff.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and examination rooms in accordance with clinic standards.

Position Summary: The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound examinations with a primary focus on General and Musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging. This position offers a diverse caseload, modern equipment, and the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Current registration and good standing with CMRITO.

  • Strong General Ultrasound scanning skills.

  • Experience in MSK ultrasound is considered a strong asset.

  • Vascular experience is beneficial but not required.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic excellence.
