Job summary

Agropur is seeking a General Relief Warehouse Worker in Victoria, BC to support dairy operations. You will run dairy case machines, handle shipping and receiving, and assist stock rotation in a cooler/freezer environment.

Working independently or as part of a team, you will operate forklift, pallet jacks, and reach trucks while maintaining inventory control and a clean, safe workplace. This role requires physical fitness and the ability to cover all shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Class 1 licence preferred.
• Able to follow inventory procedures.
• Ability to work all shifts (day, evening, night).

Responsibilities

• Run dairy case machines and support shipping/receiving warehouse tasks.
• Work in a cooler/freezer environment, prepare customer orders, load trucks, rotate and replenish stock, inventory.
• Operate in-floor track system, forklift, pallet jacks, and reach jacks.
• Provide coverage in cooler for full-time employees during holidays, vacations, sickness or other absences.

• Starting wage of $29.75 per hour, up to $42.50 per hour

• Starting wage is $42.50 if you have you Class 1 licence.

• Schedule is 4 days - 9 hours (day, evening or night)

Your role in achieving results:

• Support production by running dairy case machines and executing shipping and receiving warehouse tasks.

• Working in a cooler/freezer environment, the General Relief (warehouse person) prepares customer orders, loads trucks, rotates and replenishes stock, cleans and does other duties including inventory.

• Working with a team or independently the incumbent will also use an in floor track system, fork-lift, pallet jacks, and reach jacks.

• Coverage work in the cooler for full-time employees who are away for holidays, vacations, sick time, or other absences, with general relief employees working varying schedules across a 24/7 operation.

What we are looking for to deliver these results:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Availability to work all shifts (day, afternoon, graveyard)

• Experience on the Forklift

• Knowledge of Cooler/Freezer operations (asset)

• Class 1 preferred

• Able to communicate stock related needs and concerns effectively and proactively, assist in ordering stock items and maintain inventory control procedures

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team member

• Ability to properly receive and document all incoming goods

• Able to maintain a clean and safe workplace

• Responsible for maintaining forklift, pallet jack and other related warehousing equipment

• Perform any other duties as required under the direction of management and/or Assistant Foreman

• Physically fit with good attendance and safety record

• Ability to read, write and do basic math
