Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist I for the Red Deer Regional Hospital, part of the General Imaging Team. The MRT I will perform radiographic examinations, including fluoroscopy, in a fast-paced 24/7 facility and may work in the OR, portable, and mobile settings.

Independent work and strong patient care are required. The role requires a diploma in MRT, active ACMDTT registration, and BCLS-HCP, with on-call duties and rotating day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in MRT program from an accredited institution.
• Active or eligible for ACMDTT registration.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard radiological imaging examinations.
• Interpret physician requisitions and prepare patients for examinations.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for review by physicians/radiologists.
• Assist with equipment care and maintenance; work in General Radiography and Fluoroscopy, including OR and mobile exams.
