Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Red Deer is seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist II for CT and Interventional Radiography. You will perform specialized imaging, prioritize workflow for various patient needs, and work with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications include MRT diploma, ACMDTT registration eligibility, BCLS-HCP, venipuncture and CVAD authorization, and CAMRT CT certification (IR certification preferred).

Qualifications

• Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.
• Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Venipuncture Certification.
• Central Venous Access Device Use Authorization Program for Diagnostic Imaging Technologists.
• Medication Administration Authorization for Medical Radiation Technologists.
• CAMRT CT Certification.
• Preferred: CAMRT IR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized diagnostic imaging examinations (CT and Interventional Radiography).
• Prioritize workflow to accommodate routine, urgent and acute patients.
• Communicate with the healthcare team and ensure safe use of imaging equipment.
