An established healthcare provider is seeking dedicated General Psychiatrists to join their team in the beautiful Campbell River area. This role involves providing essential psychiatric services, including consultation liaison and collaborative care consultations, within a supportive environment. Psychiatrists will engage in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring continuity of care through collaboration with various healthcare teams. Island Health’s North Vancouver Island Psychiatrist Services has an opening for full-time or part-time General Psychiatrists. The successful applicant will provide the following services:
Location: Campbell River Hospital
Service: Consultation Liaison
Time: Part time (approximately 4 hours), 2-4 days per week, Monday-Friday
Location: Community of Campbell River/North Island
Service: Collaborative Care Consultations, MHSU consultations (ASTAT and ACSS), North Island psychiatric outreach
Time: Part Time (approximately 3-4 hours), 4-5 days per week, Monday-Friday
Location: Comox Valley Hospital

On call-duties
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement including:
• Retention Premium 6.09% on MSP and sessional billings
• Retention Flat Fee $9,437.76
• Recruitment Incentive up to $10,000
Rural CME:
Specialty Training Bursary Program
Up to $50,000 bursary over two years if pursued during residency training. One year return of service requirement attached to each year of funding.
