Job description

Join our team as General Manager!

The General Manager (GM) is responsible and accountable for the total operation of the Retirement Home. The GM ensures the efficient operation of the Home is carried out in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, values, policies, procedures, and all legislative requirements.

Traits and Qualifications:
  • Possess a degree or diploma in Business Administration/Management, Healthcare Management, Hospitality, or equivalent experience, or be a successful candidate of the Jarlette Health Services Succession Planning program.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in a retirement home, hospitality, or related setting is preferred.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  • Experience in leadership roles demonstrating skills in financial management, human resources, labour relations, marketing, and department oversight.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to create long-term planning strategies.
  • Capable of functioning smoothly amidst competing priorities.
  • Proficient in computer literacy.
