Job summary

Corporate Compass Group Canada is seeking an experienced General Manager (Food Services) to oversee daily operations of a high-volume venue in Canada. The role focuses on managing client relations, staff leadership, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction across multiple food concepts.

The successful candidate will drive quality assurance, health & safety, and environmental program compliance, while leading both union and non-union teams.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with at least 5 years of foodservice or related management experience in a high-volume retail food service environment.
• Experience managing a large team of associates and managers is a must.
• AFST certification plus Level 1 and 2 Health & Safety Certification training or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Proven financial management skills, including ability to control product and labour costs and analyze information.
• Experience working with high volume operations with multiple food concepts.
• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar role in the food service industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
