Job description

Levy, a division of Compass Group Canada, has been the exclusive food service provider at the Videotron Centre since its opening in September 2015. Its operations include delivering food and beverage services in concession stands, corporate suites, executive lounges, bars, as well as banquet and catering events. We also operate at the Cigale Festival, Igloofest Québec, Festivent, and most recently, the Lotbinière Country Music Festival.

Mission

As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our business operations, including multiple professional functions such as human resources, budgeting, financial management and weekly analysis, implementation and long-term success of marketing and sales programs, catering services, and brand management. You will exceed client expectations through strong leadership and management skills while embodying the "Levy Difference."

  • Monitoring, evaluating, and ensuring the continuity of operations.
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Support teams in implementing the service steps required to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, non-profit organizations, and Levy Canada team members.
  • Regularly gather and respond to client and guest feedback to improve operations.
  • Support and communicate corporate initiatives.
  • Develop all menus, promotions, and programs in accordance with Levy Canada standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the partner's management team, Levy team members, and other departments as needed to ensure operational excellence.
  • Utilize all applicable systems and tools accurately and efficiently (purchasing systems, POS systems, payroll systems, etc.).
  • Conduct inspections to ensure service delivery meets specifications, client expectations, and quality assurance standards.
  • Promote best practices and ensure all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are understood and followed.
  • Achieve daily sales targets, assigned cost objectives, and budget goals.
  • Understand both internal and external business environments to identify risks and opportunities while developing innovative solutions.
  • Ensure all required daily and event reports are completed on time and that month-end information is properly compiled.
  • Ensure management team members adhere to Levy policies and guidelines.
  • Lead and motivate teams to achieve daily sales and cost objectives while implementing required cost-control measures to meet financial targets.
  • Use performance management tools to provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that maximizes productivity and morale.
  • Support department leaders in developing their leadership skills and capabilities.
  • Forecast and coordinate special projects in collaboration with Sales, Department Directors, Human Resources, and the General Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
