Our team is passionate about delivering smart, scalable solutions to clients across Canada, and we’re looking for a skilled and strategic General Manager (GM) to help turn our CEO’s vision into reality.
This is a pivotal leadership role for a people-focused operator with a bias for action, an eye for strategy, and the confidence to lead through complexity.
The Role
The General Manager will act as the operational heartbeat of the company—turning vision into execution, aligning teams around priorities, and ensuring the business scales smoothly and sustainably. You don’t need to be an IT expert, but you must understand how a managed services business model works and how to optimize it.
You'll collaborate closely with the CEO, field new ideas with a solutions mindset, and help determine the right path forward that aligns with business goals. If you're a builder, coach, and integrator who thrives in high-growth environments—this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Execution: Translate the CEO’s vision and ideas into actionable plans that align with company strategy and priorities.
- Leadership & Coaching: Lead, develop, and mentor team leads and staff to build high-performing, engaged teams as we scale.
- Operational Oversight: Own daily operations, ensuring alignment across departments (sales, service delivery, admin).
- Financial & Business Acumen: Monitor key business metrics, read and interpret financial statements (P&L), and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Project Management: Drive cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects to support growth goals.
- Communication & Alignment: Serve as a key bridge between the CEO and the team—translating vision into clear communication and motivating action.
- Resource Planning: Forecast and plan resourcing needs as the team grows, including hiring and capacity planning.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable systems, tools, and processes.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in a senior operations, general manager, or business leadership role (experience in high-growth or founder-led companies is a plus).
- 5+ years of strategic leadership experience; strong cross-department, people leadership and coaching skills; ability to lead through change and ambiguity.
- High level of business and financial acumen—confident interpreting P&Ls and making data-informed decisions. Ideally a degree in business or an adjacent field.
- Track record of executing on strategic priorities and scaling operational systems. Experience with EOS is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Solutions-oriented mindset—able to evaluate ideas quickly and offer strategic paths forward.
- Familiarity with the managed IT services industry or service-based B2B business models.
- Passion for in-person interactions, and believes in the value of in-office work; we have a beautiful, newly restored office space in historic Abbotsford, BC.
