Base pay range

CA$25.00/hr - CA$27.00/hr

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the General Maintenance Worker will be responsible for general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of equipment, facilities, yard, chicken shop, and properties.

Location: 8301 Winston Churchill Blvd, Brampton, ON L6Y 0A2

Responsibilities

• Maintain Maple Lodge Farms buildings, yards, and properties, including:
• Basic Carpentry Skills
• Painting & Drywall repair
• Concrete & Urethane Coating
• Light Construction, installing doors & frames
• Door Hardware installation & repair
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections, estimate, and schedule work orders
• Assist other trades as necessary

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with at least three years of experience in a similar role
• Basic Carpentry & Construction skills
• Knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality)
• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), WHMIS
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and multitasking
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Grade 12)
• Forklift License
