Job Title: General Maintenance / Maintenance Attendant

We are currently recruiting for a General Maintenance person. The successful candidate will be driven, dedicated, and skilled in responding quickly to maintenance requests and maintaining hotel facilities through preventative maintenance and repairs. Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, your duties will include:

• Ensuring the property exceeds guest expectations in condition and appearance
• Identifying and fixing maintenance issues
• Responding courteously and efficiently to guest requests
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on rooms and equipment (kitchen, boiler, HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
• Basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting
• Conducting regular property rounds and reporting issues
• Maintaining work areas, equipment, and logs
• Responding to emergencies such as fire alarms and power failures
• Other assigned duties

Qualifications

• Technical experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hotel environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Team-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (chillers, boilers, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good computer skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Pool maintenance knowledge is a plus
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
