Job summary

The position requires a proactive, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights is essential, with knowledge of Building Automation Systems (Honeywell EBI)

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of building maintenance experience, ideally in hospitality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Aerial lift and Working at Heights training an asset.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights.
  • Familiar with Building Automation Systems, preferably Honeywell EBI.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior and exterior preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems.
  • Respond to and complete maintenance work orders.
  • Monitor and operate the Building Automation System.
  • Oversee contractors to ensure compliance with building standards.
  • Maintain an accurate daily shift log.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks as needed.

The General Maintenance is responsible for for maintaining the facility and its systems to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for Pack Members and guests. This role requires a proactive, adaptable individual who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced setting and is focused on improving daily operations.

Team
  • Willingness to accept the most effective role.
  • Perform interior and exterior preventive and corrective maintenance as directed by management.
  • Service and inspect HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems on a scheduled basis.
  • Respond to and complete maintenance work orders.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of emergency power and life safety systems.
  • Monitor and operate the Building Automation System.
  • Assist in diagnosing technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee contractors to ensure compliance with building standards.
  • Maintain an accurate daily shift log.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Close with an open mentality.
  • Keep all areas in like-new condition and website ready.
Guest
  • Ensure guests are greeted and acknowledged consistently, adhering to the 10/5 Rule.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Follow proper safety procedures for equipment use, lifting, and bending.
  • Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Protecting company assets by adhering to policies and procedures.
  • 3–5 years of building maintenance experience, ideally in hospitality.

  • Ensures compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and codes.
Physical Requirements
  • Capable of walking, standing, crawling, bending, twisting, reaching above shoulder level, crouching/squatting, and kneeling.
  • Capable of climbing ladders up to 16' tall and multiple flights of stairs, up to 90 steps at a time, multiple times a day.
  • Dexterity of the fingers and hands with ability to squeeze hands, twist and rotate wrists and elbows.
  • Ability to work outdoors as needed, in all weather conditions year-round.
  • Capable of working at heights and in tight spaces.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 70lbs.
Additional Requirements

Newly hired Pack Members must submit a completed police clearance to Human Resources. Employment may begin before the results are received, based on the Pack Member’s confirmation that they have no unpardoned criminal convictions. If the clearance reveals a conviction, the employer may terminate employment on a case‑by‑case basis, providing only the minimum notice required under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, with no additional notice or compensation.
