Job summary

Qualifications

5+ years of post-call experience in relevant practice areas.
Membership (or eligibility for membership) in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
Experience in litigation, negotiation and mediation/arbitration preferred.
Ability to draft pleadings, contracts, opinions and correspondence.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse file load, including your own client book.
Provide legal research and analysis; draft pleadings, contracts and other documents.
Appear before courts and tribunals as required; negotiate settlements.
Participate in mediations and dispute resolution processes.
Communicate regularly with clients and collaborate with colleagues across practice areas.
