Job summary

WSG Energy Services is seeking a general labourer/operator to support construction projects in Canada. The role involves handling materials, operating forklift and telehandler, and maintaining a clean and safe work site.

You will participate in toolbox talks, complete daily paperwork, and adhere to the company safety program. The position requires ability to work at heights and tolerate outdoor conditions, including weather and dust hazards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labour and operator duties including snow clearing, dewatering, sweeping, recycling, cleaning of work area, etc.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials using forklift/telehandler.
• Experience with small tools and manual handling while working at heights.
• Site and work area housekeeping; complete daily paperwork and participate in toolbox talks.

Job Duties

• General labour and operator duties including but not limited to snow clearing, dewatering, sweeping, recycling, cleaning of work area etc
• Load, unload and transport construction materials using forklift/telehandler
• Experience with small tools and manual handling while working at heights
• Site and work area housekeeping
• Complete daily paperwork and participate in toolbox talks
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.

Work Conditions

• Job requires ability to work with tools and materials.
• Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs for 50 feet is required.
• Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.)
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
• Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
