Job summary

Dashwood Industries Inc, a major manufacturer and distributor of windows and entrance systems, is seeking General Labourers to join our fast-paced production floor team. You will operate equipment, read gauges, and support quality by working safely and with attention to detail.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math and tape-measure reading, and strong teamwork. Shifts run Monday to Friday with rotations; overtime may apply.

Dashwood Industries Inc, a major manufacturer and distributor of windows and entrance systems for the residential and commercial markets, is currently seeking General Labourers to join our fast paced team to perform various duties throughout the production floor.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools as required.
  • Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices, policies and PPE compliances.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and assist in identifying training needs and quality metrics.
  • Able to work at an established rate showing attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Use sound judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Able to perform tasks which require repetition, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to work in various areas throughout the production floor.
  • Support and participate in excellent housekeeping.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and pushing /pulling of various objects.
  • Support a respectful workplace and positive attitude.
  • Adhere to company rules and regulations.
Qualifications and required skills:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and have essential mathematical skills.
  • Possess teamwork, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and interact effectively with other team members and departments.
  • Versatility, flexibility, ability to work shift work in a fast paced environment.
  • Fluent in basic English for reading and writing.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Reliable Transportation Required.
Shifts of work:

Monday to Friday, 2-week rotation shift work - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and 3:30 PM to midnight. Possibility of midnights depending on department of work. Overtime possibilities during the week or weekend, as the need arises.
