Job summary

Truelinescaping Inc. based in Mississauga, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of General labourer – landscaping who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills.

The selected candidate will start as soon as possible and will work in permanent, full-time arrangements. The duties include assisting with landscape construction, weeding, pruning, mowing, raking, soil work, sod/seed laying, planting, equipment maintenance and daily progress reports;

Qualifications

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• The candidate will be expected to assist with landscape construction.
• The candidate will be in charge of tying.
• The candidate must weed, prune, and trim trees and plants.
• The candidate must cut grass.
• The candidate will be expected to rake and collect trash.
• The candidate will be expected to clean up litter and garbage.
• The candidate must cart and spread topsoil and other materials.
• The candidate must lay sod or seed.
• The candidate will be expected to plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• The candidate must dig cemetery graves.
• The candidate will be expected to repair and maintain equipment.
• The candidate will be required to write basic progress reports on a daily basis.
• The candidate must water and care for plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment.
• The candidate must clear snow and ice from walkways and parking lots.
