Job summary

Wessuc Inc in Ontario is seeking a Cleanout Specialist to support a Vacuum Truck Operator in safe, efficient cleanout operations at wastewater facilities and related sites. You will help set up sites, clean confined spaces, document permits and inspections, and travel across Ontario with paid accommodation.

Shift work includes nights and on-call rotations. We offer competitive wages from $22/hour, annual earnings potential $60k-$80k with overtime, full-time year-round, comprehensive benefits,

Qualifications

  • Valid G or G2 driver’s license.
  • Ability to assist with minor mechanical repairs.
  • Experience with Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, and prior wastewater industry experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, water pumps and associated equipment is valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Vacuum Truck Operator with cleanout operations at wastewater facilities and related sites.
  • Set up sites including vacuum hoses, pumps and safety equipment.
  • Clean confined spaces such as wastewater holding tanks and pump stations.
  • Support the Supervisor with documentation: permits and daily vehicle inspection reports.
  • Drive company trucks and travel across Ontario, with paid accommodation as needed.
  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work in tight spaces and in dusty, wet, or noisy conditions; extended shifts may occur.
  • Work indoors and outdoors year-round.

About the Role

Get hands-on experience and have fun doing it! As a Cleanout Specialist, you will assist the Vacuum Truck Operator in safely and efficiently performing cleanout operations at wastewater facilities and related sites.

  • Assist in setting up sites, including vacuum hoses, pumps, and safety equipment;
  • Clean confined spaces such as wastewater holding tanks, pump stations, and other treatment or processing tanks;
  • Support the Supervisor with documentation, including Confined Space Entry Permits, Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports, and other required paperwork;
  • Drive company pickup trucks and safety trailers to job sites across Ontario, including overnight or out-of-town assignments with paid accommodation;
  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment;
  • Work in tight, confined spaces, and in dusty, wet, or noisy conditions;
  • Work extended shifts during the peak season, participate in on-call rotation for emergency response, and adjust to varying schedules, including night shifts;
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round.
About You
  • Valid G or G2 driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Ability to assist with minor mechanical repairs
  • Experience with Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry and Rescue, and prior wastewater industry experience is an asset
  • Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, water pumps, and associated equipment is considered valuable
