Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a General Labourer for our Ajax client. The role involves removing finished products, inspecting for defects, assembling components, and preparing items for shipment on an ongoing temp/contract basis.

Candidates should be able to read measuring tools, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. Good communication and adherence to safety rules are essential. Afternoon shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm with a pay rate of $18.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labour, warehouse or manufacturing roles.
• Ability to read rulers, tapes and measuring devices to verify specifications.
• Comfortable standing, bending, lifting and performing repetitive tasks.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Safety boots are required and adherence to PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Remove finished plastic products from machines and production lines.
• Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and defects before packaging.
• Perform product assembly and insulation installation as required.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare products for shipment.
• Replenish raw materials and production supplies into machinery.
• Measure products to ensure specifications are met with rulers or tapes.
• Assist with loading, unloading, stacking, and organizing finished goods.
• Conduct visual quality checks and report defects or production concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities:

• Remove finished plastic products from machines and production lines
• Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and defects before packaging
• Perform product assembly and insulation installation as required
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare products for shipment
• Replenish raw materials and production supplies into machinery
• Measure products using rulers, measuring tapes, and other measuring devices to ensure specifications are met
• Assist with loading, unloading, stacking, and organizing finished goods
• Conduct visual quality checks and report any defects or production concerns
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous General Labour, Warehouse, or Manufacturing experience
• Able to accurately read and use rulers, measuring tapes, and measuring devices
• Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Safety boots required
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment (asset)
• Machine operator experience in a production environment (asset)

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm
