Job summary

Cober Printing Limited is seeking seasonal help in our Case Binding, Bindery and Shipping departments. We offer on-the-job training in a fast-paced, inclusive work environment with opportunities to grow within the company.

Multiple shifts available (mornings, afternoons and overnights). We value teamwork, reliable attendance, accuracy and a positive attitude, plus a willingness to learn and operate specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow work orders and job tickets to complete finishing tasks per project specifications
• Assist Bindery Machine Operators with finishing tasks (cutting, folding, collating, stuffing, wrapping, assembling)
• Assemble, bind, and sort printed materials into books, flyers, pamphlets, kits and other finished products
• Prepare samples to verify finished products meet job specifications before full production
• Identify and report finishing issues or quality concerns to supervisor
• Organize materials and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Wrap finished products, operate shrink-wrap equipment, pack for shipment
• Place finished products on skids for shipping
• Communicate with Production Managers and team to confirm job requirements
• Monitor supplies and report shortages
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace following housekeeping and safety rules
• Follow company procedures and quality standards
• Perform other duties to support production operations

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow work orders and job tickets to ensure all finishing tasks are completed according to project specifications.
• Assist Bindery Machine Operators with various finishing tasks, including cutting, folding, collating, stuffing, wrapping, and assembling printed materials.
• Assemble, bind, and sort printed materials into books, flyers, pamphlets, kits, and other finished products.
• Prepare samples when required to verify that finished products meet job specifications before proceeding with the full production run.
• Identify and report finishing issues or quality concerns to the supervisor or appropriate team members before proceeding with a job.
• Organize materials and prioritize assigned tasks to meet production deadlines and accommodate schedule changes.
• Wrap finished products in plastic, operate shrink-wrap equipment, pack completed projects into boxes, and properly tape and prepare packages for shipment.
• Place completed products on skids in preparation for shipping to clients.
• Communicate with Production Managers, Supervisors, and team members to clarify instructions, confirm job requirements, and coordinate priorities.
• Monitor supplies and inform the supervisor of any shortages or supply issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following established housekeeping procedures and keeping the workspace free of hazards.
• Follow company procedures, quality standards, and applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support production operations.
