Gypsum Management and Supply (GMS) is seeking a General Labourer to join our Duncan, BC warehouse team. You will assist with the preparation, loading, and unloading of building materials for delivery, ensuring load security and accuracy.

The role is paid hourly with a wide pay range. Responsibilities include returning to yard duties, helping other warehouse staff, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with company policies.

Position Purpose:

The General Labourer assists the warehouse team with the preparation, loading, and unloading of building materials for delivery. The payscale for this role is $20-22 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist withthe preparation oftrucks for loading.
• Ensure load security and accuracy.
• Maintain the general appearance and housekeeping of work areas. Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Assist other warehouse staff as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Customer service in the yard.
• Load material into vehicles.
• Cut material if needed.
• General yard housekeeping.

Basic Qualification s

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Basic hand tool skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
• Frequently climbing up and down stairs and onto trucks and material. Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movementswith weight.

Customer service in the yard.

Load material into vehicles.

Cut material if needed.

General yard housekeeping.

The (range of) compensation for this position is $20.77 to $24.09
