Soluroc is seeking a General Labourer at its Cobourg facility. You will support daily site operations, assist supervisors and machine operators, and help with material handling, production support, and cleanup to maintain safe and efficient manufacturing processes.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience, the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, and a commitment to safety. A valid driver's license and basic machinery exposure are assets for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is an asset.
• Experience operating production machinery (e.g., lathe) is a strong asset.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, standing).
• Must be willing to work in an industrial environment with varying conditions.
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow instructions.

Position Summary

The General Labourer supports daily site operations by performing a variety of manual labour tasks in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining safe, clean, and efficient operations while supporting production teams, supervisors, and skilled trades at our Cobourg facility.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

• Assist supervisors, machine operators, and skilled trades with daily operational activities


• Perform general labour duties including material handling, production support, and cleanup


• Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials


• Prepare work areas and ensure readiness for manufacturing and operational tasks


• Support production processes, equipment setup, and maintenance activities as required

Health & Safety

• Follow all Soluroc safety policies, procedures, and site‑specific rules


• Properly use required PPE at all times


• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions


• Report hazards, near misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately


• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment

Teamwork & Reliability

• Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and production staff


• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic


• Adapt to changing priorities and production needs


• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational requirements

• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, or labour‑intensive environments is an asset
