Job summary

Calhoun Super Structures is seeking a General Labour - Operator at our Dundalk location. You will assemble, pack, and ship custom covers for fabric-covered structures, reading shop drawings and using welding and sewing equipment.

Candidates should be reliable, safety‑minded, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with high productivity. The role involves standing for long periods and lifting up to 60 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a tape measure (imperial units).

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, weld, sew, and alter large-scale fabric based on customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Operate machinery and assist coworkers as needed.
  • Ensure proper care of equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

GENERAL LABOUR - OPERATOR

EXISTING VACANCY - DUNDALK LOCATION

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Supervisor, will primarily be responsible for the assembly, packing and shipping of custom covers for fabric covered structures. At the Dundalk plant, customized Polyethylene covers are cut, sewn, and hot air welded to meet the needs of each unique project.

Labourers will work to keep work area and equipment clean and orderly and successful candidates must be energetic individuals who are able to work in a fast-paced environment with high productivity.
