Job summary

Domtar Corporation seeks General Labour talent for its Port Alberni, BC operation. This permanent, full-time role entails physically demanding work in a paper mill, with shift rotations including days and nights, and a requirement to be computer literate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide physically demanding labour in all areas of the paper mill.
• Work shift rotation (days and nights).
• Duties include operating mobile equipment for extended periods.
• Be on your feet for extended periods and work in hot/noisy conditions.
• Demonstrate good visual perception and be computer literate.

The location in Port Alberni, BC , is seeking talent to fill the position of General Labour. This job is Permanent and full-time.

This is a bargaining unit position; hourly rate of pay will be part of the current Labout Agreement.

Successful candidate(s) will be required to:

• provide physically demanding labour work in all areas of the paper mill, providing vacation and training relief;


• work shift rotation (days and nights);


• duties and job requirements will include, but are not limited to:

  • being on your feet for extended periods;
  
  
  • working in hot and noisy conditions;
  
  
  • having good visual perception; and,
