Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods in Mississauga is hiring for a General Labor role on full-time shifts. You will participate in packaging, clean-up and other elemental activities related to food processing in a highly automated environment.

The position requires the ability to read and communicate in English, physical fitness, and the capacity to follow directions with minimal supervision in a team setting. Overtime opportunities and benefits are included alongside room for growth.

Responsibilities

• Packaging, clean-up and other elemental activities related to food processing.
• Work within all stations of the department as assigned.
• Assist with all aspects of line activities.
• Ensure adherence to Food Safety and Quality Assurance requirements.
• In compliance with GMPs, HACCP, Health & Safety and WHMIS requirements.
• Handling heavy loads with moderate physical exertion (lifting 10-25 kg).
• Fast-paced environment.
• Repetitive tasks.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
