Temporary Construction Labourer / Demolition Helper

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Job Type: Temporary Full-Time (Project-Based)
Schedule: 10-12 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with overtime as required.

Duration: This position is temporary and will continue until the current construction project is completed. There is potential for future opportunities based on upcoming projects and performance.

Position Summary

We are looking for hardworking, reliable Construction Labourers to assist with a construction project involving primarily demolition work. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work safely, and a willingness to work long days when required.

If you enjoy hands-on work, are dependable, and aren't afraid to get dirty, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior demolition
• Load, unload, and move construction materials
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Assist skilled tradespeople as needed
• Clean and prepare work areas
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and organized job site

Qualifications

• Previous construction or demolition experience is preferred
• Experience using both hand tools and power tools
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs or more
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods
• Must be able to speak and understand English
• Reliable transportation to and from local job sites
• CSA-approved steel-toe work boots are required
• Working at Heights Certification is preferred. Applicants without certification must be willing to obtain it immediately upon hire, as employees without this certification are not permitted to work on ladders.

Schedule

• Temporary full-time position
• 10-12 hour shifts
• Overtime may be required based on project needs
