Job summary

John Ross & Sons Ltd. is seeking a dedicated general labourer to support daily production and shipping operations at our Atlantic Canada facility.

You will load/unload, sort, label, and assist machine operators, while upholding safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area. This is a full-time role running Monday to Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with Saturdays as needed; PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of heavy lifting general labour an asset
• Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently
• Must be comfortable wearing full PPE while on shift
• Safety driven mindset
• Clear communication skills
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment
• Sort and prepare products for shipping or storage
• Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed
• Accurately label and tag products
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Upkeeping safety procedures
• Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to management
• Other labor duties as necessary

• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic equipment
• Sort and prepare products for shipping or storage
• Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed.
